Étienne Appert
For 15 years, Étienne Appert lived a double life: during the day, he wore his management consultant suit, and at night, he drew and acted in the theater. Since 2010, he has finally found a full-time job: author-draftsman. But his past helps him to get his line out of the usual boxes: he accompanies people and organizations through drawing, with a wide range of methods that he has disseminated in the book Penser, Dessiner, Révéler (Eyrolles).
He has also helped experts in the field of new management methods (organizations without hierarchical pyramids, serving a raison d'être rather than the unlimited quest for money...) to co-construct original hybrid books -half illustrated book, half comic strip- where drawing takes over from words when it is more efficient to express the essential. The book Reinventing Organizations, of which he produced the summarized and illustrated version for Frédéric Laloux, allows his drawings to be distributed throughout the world (China, Japan, Russia, Finland, United States, Syria...).
He is now developing an activity as an author of graphic novels.
