Robotics and the elderly?
CARSAT and ageing
At the end of 2017, CARSAT Aquitaine is developing an action and communication plan on the theme of aging and technical aids. Films have been made and symposiums organized to raise awareness and provide information, so all that was missing was an original visual medium! This is where The Ink Link and its artists come in.
Drawing embodies the issues in a playful and humorous way. It was agreed to produce a comic strip which would be distributed at the various meetings CARSAT organizes with its care teams and supported persons.
Robots and drawings
The cartoon covers a number of topics that are developed in their symposiums:
- The target audience's reluctance towards new technologies.
- Fear of dealing only with machines and seeing the human link disappear.
- Difficulty of handling and ergonomics.
- Fantasies of machines taking control and becoming autonomous.
- It's hard to buy bread in an exoskeleton with a toaster driver!
Wilfrid Lupano, Paul Cauuet and Editions Dargaud have agreed to lend their famous Vieux Fourneaux. No doubt our old favorites will be good ambassadors for this introduction to robotics!
