Hélène Georges
Hélène Georges, born in 1978 in Remiremont, is a French illustrator and comic book artist. After training at the École Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Strasbourg, Hélène Georges became an outstanding colorist.
Through her illustrations, characteristic elements of her universe assert themselves: animals, jungle, nocturnal colors and dark atmospheres...
Hélène Georges has worked closely with Lisa Mandel. It was the latter who invited her to draw for the Marseille fanzine Hercule et la Toison d’Or. She started to draw Les Rêveries d'Hélène, short stories about girls who like girls. It is from this experience that her first two albums Les Rêveries d'Hélène, then La Vraie Vie d'Hélène were born.
In her latest comic, L'Amour du maillot - Une saison en ligue 2, written by sociologist Frédéric Rasera, the atmosphere changes, and we dive into the world of professional soccer by following a player who confronts the reality of this job.
With The Ink Link, Hélène Georges illustrated a guide on children's mental health for teachers, as part of a project in partnership with McGill University in Canada and PAHO, the WHO's office for the Americas.
