Flood safety training...
From universities to citizens
When faced with a dangerous situation, it's important to be informed in order to react correctly. The ESPACE laboratory at the Université d'Avignon offered using social networks to raise public awareness on how to behave in the event of flooding. At the time, comics were the medium of choice for attracting readers.
Today, when you want to get a message across to as many people as possible, social networks are often the vector of choice. But how do you avoid disappearing in the midst of the vast amount of information circulating?
Adapting comics to social networks
Comics, which can be developed specifically for online reading, are an effective medium. By creating simple, funny but striking images, they make the reader want to click on the link and leave strong visual memories.
For this project, The Ink Link commissioned Fabien Toulmé for his semi-realistic style, which was well suited to online publication, and to the choice of creating a humorous story.
Working closely with the ESPACE laboratory, The Ink Link took care of the scenario development, making sure to include all the scientific information required.
The involvement of The Ink Link network and the students from the Université d'Avignon ensured wide broadcasting of the project, which can easily be broadcasted again during the next rainy season!
